The morning is the best time to enjoy the view of Mount Merapi before shrouded in fog. So at 7:00 am we are leaving for Kaliadem, a cool region at the foot of Mount Merapi, about 25 km north of the city of Yogyakarta. We chose an alternative path because the path through Maguwo it has more fields than through Road Ground. Sure enough, just a few kilometers away from the city, the landscape green fields directly feast for the eyes, like the Mooi Indie paintings. Cool air was immediately ambushed by the car window that was left open. Faintly smell the rice stem; smells fresh, like the smell of the grass after rain washed.
The sun has not been high when arrived in Kaliadem, some locals appeared to start getting ready to find grass for their cattle. Although there is mist, Mount Merapi is seen intact as expected. Towering up to 2980 meters above sea level, the mountain really looks dashing. His back looked sparkling in the sun in the morning, while the peak thin fumes. Ladies and gentlemen, this is one of the most active volcanoes in Indonesia.
